About

My university formation took place between Tarragona (first cycle) and Barcelona (second cycle) parallel and preferment forming the direct learning of field work and ceramics. This formation was reached by personal collaboration with the Archaeological Services of the Generalitat (delegation at Tarragona), the Work School of Archaeology of Tarragona, the Museum of History of the City of Barcelona and the Department of Prehistory, Ancient History and Archaeology of the University of Barcelona. Licensed in 1989, succeeded various brief periods as archaeologist in practice with the TED´A and as a free professional in Barcelona.

Later the managerial surroundings of Codex-Arqueologia i Patrimoni constituted my professional ambit, intervening fundamentally in the city and province of Tarragona. It has been a task centred initially in the direction of archaeological actions and later, in management co-ordination and supervision in the criterium of the methodology of intervention. It has been an experience which impregnates the willingness of not separating patrimonial management in investigation , reflecting a personal compromise with archaeology which unrolls itself in the private sphere and were can be implanted fluid staid and reciprocals between formative experiences and activities of investigation.

During 13 years of work and co-ordination of fieldwork have been elaborated scientific contributions within the area of support which private archaeology in Catalunya actually possesses. This store of knowledge has permitted me to incorporate myself as investigator in the Catalan Institute of Classical archaeology, with the persistent will to connect in the different work areas which form catalan archaeology and to materialise the scientific potential which this world of administration represents. Within the context of the archaeology of roman cities it is necessary, and more so when dealing with modern nucleus superimposed over ancient ones, to direct a significant part of our labour to the impulse of scientific projection in the numerous activities which are realised in my surroundings geography in action.
